You’ll ideally be degree educated and have at least 2 years in an agency or in-house communications environment.

We’ll need you to be able to strike up great relationships with people at all levels, be process-driven and happy to go the extra mile to ensure our clients’ projects deliver on time and to budget.

You’ll be a confident project manager with an equally good head for words as you have for numbers and you’ll know your stuff when it comes to print and digital production. Needless to say, you’ll carry out every task with a serious eye for detail and be equally excited as we are about our current growth spurt!

We’re up for Best financial/corporate communication category with Aviva UK, and Best operational communication for One McCain with McCain Foods GB at The Institute of Internal Communication Awards 2012.

There are 39 awards spread across eight sections, covering the kind of work being done everyday by internal communication professionals, including campaigns, innovation, digital media, print media, writing, events and design.

The winners will be announced in London on 15 June.

Our learning map, which was recently named the North’s ‘Internal Communications Campaign of the Year’, also scooped first prize in the ‘South Winners’ category at The Golden Hedgehog PR Awards.

This is a tremendous achievement — congratulations to scarlettabbott and Anchor!

Now, this wasn’t caused by a stray hedgehog spike somehow sneaking its way into our lovely York office. The real reason is far more plausible.

We’ve just been awarded first prize for the sharpest Internal Comms Campaign in the North of England, from the sharpest award ceremony in the PR industry: The Golden Hedgehog PR Awards.

The award, announced last night, praises the splendid learning map, ‘The Anchor Way’, that we designed to engage Anchor’s 10,000 people in a new strategy, vision and values.

scarlettabbott and Anchor can give each other a great big pat on the back – and without fear of a nasty splinter.

Why? Because we’re not hedgehogs.

You will be responsible for the day to day artwork and design of print and digital magazines and newspapers, intranets, creative campaigns and internal branding; in a friendly, high performing and fast-paced environment. You’ll be working with an established and award-winning creative team that will provide support, help you to develop your skills and celebrate your individuality.
 You’ll have in-house or agency experience on projects of a similar nature. Adobe CS4/5 is essential. Experience with MS Word and Power Point and a thorough understanding of the design to print process would also be an advantage, as would an interest in digital work (Flash/HTML 5).
