National awards shortlist!

We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted for two national awards.

We’re up for Best financial/corporate communication category with Aviva UK, and Best operational communication for One McCain with McCain Foods GB at The Institute of Internal Communication Awards 2012.

There are 39 awards spread across eight sections, covering the kind of work being done everyday by internal communication professionals, including campaigns, innovation, digital media, print media, writing, events and design.

The winners will be announced in London on 15 June.

More Spiky Success

‘The Anchor Way’ isn’t just top in the North of England – it’s top in the Midlands, Wales and South too.

Our learning map, which was recently named the North’s ‘Internal Communications Campaign of the Year’, also scooped first prize in the ‘South Winners’ category at The Golden Hedgehog PR Awards.

This is a tremendous achievement — congratulations to scarlettabbott and Anchor!

Powering comms for utilities

Having made our name as the ‘go to’ internal communications agency for transport operators, our experience in the power and utilities sector is taking pace thanks to opportunities to work on some really exciting employee engagement projects for United Utilities, Northern Gas Networks, National Grid and Northumbrian Water.
So far, our work in this sector has seen us:
Transform an employee induction scheme
Provide strategic editorial support for digital communications
Communicate vital changes to an employee pension scheme through an integrated campaign
Design workshops focusing on the customer experience for people leaders
Roll out internal communications programmes for a merger, and
Re-design and produce employee newspapers and magazines.

Saving dough with Morrisons

We’re using our loaf on all things financial to support our favourite supermarket Wm Morrison.

We’re helping to raise financial awareness amongst their 132,000 employees. The communication programme ‘Save your dough’ is supported by independent financial expert Alvin Hall and is helping colleagues to save money today and think about saving for tomorrow. Books, a website, money makeover films, augmented reality distribution and live events are all in the mix. It’s changing real people’s lives and it feels great!
