scarlettabbott’s design boy wonder Craig Bentley was named Best Designer – Online at the 2010 Communicators of the Year Awards.

We’re delighted that Craig’s designs for Crown Space – a monthly e-mag for our legal client Pinsent Masons – are recognised as being among the best in the industry.

Communicators of the Year is a new awards programme, from the Institute of Internal Communication, which recognises the people behind the achievements, rather than the achievements themselves.

Craig, 25, is our lead designer and he’s been with us for five years now.

The awards are judged by industry experts, and the feedback form says it all: “Craig has created a dynamic publication that deserves the highest praise. He has managed to merge the dynamics of publication and web to create a cost-effective communication solution. The publication shows a passion for combining communication with fun. It’s clever and simple.”

We’re also chuffed to bits for our client Aviva, too. The Aviva UK Life Internal Communications Team is celebrating an Award of Excellence for the Best in-house team – corporate. Well done!

We’re celebrating after scooping four industry awards including GOLD for Best Newsletter and SILVERS for Best Publication, Best Magazine and Best Event!

We swept the board at last night’s CIPR Pride Awards Yorkshire and Lincolnshire 2010, which celebrate excellence in corporate communications and PR.

scarlettabbott took home the top prize of Gold Award in the Best Newsletter category for Crown Space e-zine, which we write and design with Pinsent Masons.

Rachel Penfound, Head of Internal Communications at Pinsent Masons, says: “Crown Space e-magazine works really well for us and is a worthy winner. So I’m thrilled for scarlettabbott, who thoroughly deserve this recognition for their creativity and originality in employee communications.”

Best Event – East Coast’s Safer Together Summits

Best Magazine – Working with Northern Rail on Retail Therapy employee magazine.

We were also finalists in the Best Internal Communication category for East Coast’s Safer Together campaign.
